Welcome

Christina Fan is a reporter with WOWK-TV in Charleston, West Virginia. She is known for her versatility in reporting, covering everything from an ongoing class-action suit  involving a Kentucky county clerk refusing to issue same-sex marriage licenses to the impact new EPA regulations have on the southern coal fields of West Virginia. She often leads her station's news coverage and covers breaking news live on a regular basis.

     

Most recently, Christina covered a massive chemical spill in WV, investigating how a chemical used to process coal spilled into the Elk River and contaminated the drinking water for 300,000 West Virginians.

       Christina graduated from​ Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, where she double majored in Broadcast Journalism and International Studies. She has had more than three years of experience writing, shooting, and editing her own video. Previously, she worked as an on-air general assignment reporter for WLNS-TV6 in Lansing, Michigan. Other internships include News12 New Jersey, Sinovision, and NBC5 Chicago. Christina is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.​
